I should be in Santa Fe, New Mexico right now but a Nor’easter ruined my plans. Hope to get out on a flight tomorrow. We have many trees down, including 2 across our driveway so it looks like we can’t get the cars out. Good reason to stay home and catch up on blogs and other “business of art” related matters that usually have to wait until late at night. If you’re fortunate enough to exhibit work, have a Facebook page, website, blog and mailing list that need regular updating, it can be a challenge to keep up with it all. I have a solo exhibition coming up in Boston in July and several weeks later a 2-person show in Provincetown on the Cape. Trying not to panic (help!). Between closing up the house in Maine and the packing and moving on the Massachusetts end I’m behind where I would like to be. Going to New Mexico will help I think. I won’t be able to work for 10 days (that’s the panicky part) but I will do what I always do which is immerse myself in some of the best contemporary art being made in the US. I hope to come home refreshed and stimulated for the final push.
